Ham & Bean Suppers - Tradition and changes!
The 2025-2026 Ham & Bean Supper season has begun!
These suppers are a favorite fellowship event for many in the Nashua area. Through the years, we have had families and friends celebrate birthdays, hold meet-ups, and reunite.
At each supper, we serve sliced ham, baked navy beans, baked kidney beans, vegetarian beans, handmade potato salad and cole slaw, bread, butter, and dessert - including ice cream!
Our guests love a variety of pies. So, this year, we are also looking for volunteers to provide pies for the suppers. These pies must be baked in a professional kitchen, such as at a bakery, a grocery store, or in our own kitchen. We'll provide ice cream to make them even more delicious! If you can donate a pie for one or more of the suppers, please fill out a form and check off the pie section and date(s) you plan on donating.
Putting on the supper every month takes many hands to cook potatoes, chop vegetables, sort beans, measure ingredients, mix salads, set up tables and chairs, serve food, clear tables, replenish the buffet, wash dishes, pack leftovers, put away tables and chairs, clean up, and deliver leftovers to a local rescue mission.
There is a place for you on the Bean Team, no matter if you prefer interacting with the public, or working behind the scenes. Whether this will be your first year or your fifteenth year, if you would like to be a part of the 2025-2026 team, please fill out a volunteer form and answer a few questions to let us know what areas you're interested in working and your expected availability. This will not commit you to anything, but helps us know who would like to be a regular team member, and who would prefer being on the backup team.
If you have any questions about the suppers and how you can help, reach out to Susan McDonald or the church office, and they will get you answers!
Thank you for your interest in being part of this fellowship opportunity!
Forms and flyers are located in the connector lobby at the church OR you can click on the documents below and print from home.
