While I'm at Iona this week exploring the wildness of God's love found in liturgy and landscape, I want to invite you to a special service Sunday where we'll be baptizing Embry and we'll be weaving together the wisdom of an award-winning children's book, "Old Turtle and the Broken Truth" with the wisdom of the scripture for our lives. And our scripture is from Luke 19:36- 40 (look it up), traditionally read on Palm Sunday. It offers a picture of how even nature witnesses with us to the way of Jesus, or in spite of us.

Give us a task force and a project and we're off and running!
No trouble at all! Going to the village and finding the colt,
even negotiating with the owner is right down our alley.
And how we love a parade!
In a frenzy of celebration we gladly focus on Jesus
and generously throw our coats and palms in his path.
And we can shout praise loudly enough to make the Pharisees complain.
It's all so good!
It's between parades that we don't do so well.
From Sunday to Sunday we forget our hosannas.
Between parades the stones will have to shout because we don't."

British Car Show of Dreams- 20 volunteers needed!
When: Saturday July 26, 2025 from 9am-3pm. ½ day shifts may be available! Please reach out to amoulton@nhfoodbank.org if you are not able to do a full day but would still like to volunteer!
Where: Alvirne Hill House. 211 Derry Rd, Hudson, NH
About: Volunteer tasks include parking attendants, entrance greeters, monitoring donation car, selling raffle tickets and being at the Food Bank tent to hand out information.
