How do you put your faith in action? in your body? If you value kindness, you might smile at a store clerk or take a casserole to a co-worker who is struggling (like Laura Colianno did this week). If you value generosity, you might embody that value with tipping 20% or more. If compassion is your thing, you might offer a coat or warm socks to those in need.
This Sunday is the Youth fundraiser called Souper Bowl of Caring, where the youth group raises funds to ensure no one's bowl goes without soup. Several of our youth volunteer at the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter so they are embodying their faith by helping those who are hungry. You can bring in cash (or checks marked NSKS) for their donation pots this Sunday. OR the NSKS needs peanut butter right now, so bring in a jar. Oh, and you might want to bring some ear plugs for this particular fundraiser -- the youth make quite a loud appeal for contributions.
