We're close and we're grateful for the way Jodi and Donna have shepherded the project and Jim Pyle, Paul Pederzani, and Juan Rivera who helped move and clean things out.
And several others like Sara, Susan, Pam, Phyllis A. and Maggie who helped evaluate what needed to stay or go. More sorting to be done, but we are grateful for this space and all who are able to use it.
In addition to the Ham & Bean's record-breaking meal on Saturday night, the Vestry and Chancel hosted Bishop's Day with Ordinands on Monday. And Phyllis and Pam stepped up to feed a large group. And Jodi brought in beautiful leftovers from the baby shower she hosted for her daughter-in-law (fancy piped deviled eggs!) And Donna and Jodi dealt with yet another sewer gas smell -- when will it stop?!? Thankfully, this one was minor in comparison to the fellowship hall issues.
And of course, Carol Riley was baking gluten-free bread for worship, for the Bishop's day and for the United Women in Faith event that will take place on Saturday on multiple levels of the church.
Meanwhile, Jim and Mavis brought in Lego bricks for General Conference and Kieran's Lego cactus creation greeted Ordinands with the message that we're building a new church together (let's be less prickly while we're building).
It's been amazing to see how many folks have been around this week to help out in various ways. Thanks. I'm sure there are others I missed... but we are grateful for your efforts nevertheless.
Pastor Kelly
