Mainstreeter Online Weekly Blast

One of my favorite services of the year is All Saints, when we more intentionally recognize the presence of the great cloud of witnesses who surround us always. We name the members who have died in the past year around the communion table as a reminder of how that sacramental table always gathers those present, those from the past, and includes those who will come.

We all have a place at the table. We are part of the family of faith. We are part of the story and legacy of Main Street UMC. Our ministry would not be possible if not for the dedication, sacrifices and donations of those who went before, just as our ministry cannot continue on for the next generations without our contributions.

Be a part of the cloud, the family, the long line of faithful people who light candles and tell the stories of those who have made a positive mark on their lives and who are determined to leave that positive impact on others who will follow.

Blessings,

Rev Kelly

First UMC in Manchester is looking forward to hosting our upcoming joint conference.

A couple of important notes:

  1. Parking - there is limited parking that is a block from the church. I've attached a picture so you will know how to find it. There are a few spots near the church for those with limited mobility, please don't use these unless you need them.

  2. Conference link - Click Button Below

  3. Choir - Those who would like to sing in the joint choir should plan to arrive before 2:15pm for a joint practice.

  4. Refreshments - There will be a table for cookies :), please bring some to share.

The youth had a great time at the movie night on October 29the. Playing hide-and-seek and video games are still among their favorites before watching the movie. The youth enjoy the fellowship and plan to have another movie night in December.

Thank you Ken Lam for being our chaperone!

The Missions Committee is happy to report that from our September sneaker donations, we have the following sustainability results!  Keep the sneakers coming as we will continue to do this initiative all year long!  Drop in the bin in the Connector Lobby.  We are making an impact!

This Saturday, November 4th

Please join us, we need your support!

We Need You!

Can you help out in the Nursery on Sunday's during Church School and Worship?  We Need You!  Some volunteers have already stepped up, however, we need more.  Many of the current volunteers already have many "jobs" in the congregation and we'd like to get some relief.

Please contact the Church Office if you can volunteer and make a difference in the lives of our littlest disciples.
