Our new series is based on the universal rule in most major religions, Do Unto Others what you would have them do unto you. It's called the Golden Rule because it is valuable and when we treat each other as such we all can shine brighter. This universal rule has the power to bring people together even across the red/blue divide that seems everywhere in this election time.
Pam Breniser created new paraments (religious fabric vestments for the sanctuary) to reflect this purple space where we can cultivate kindness, compassion, humility, respect and love for one another and for the good of all the world.
The tie-dye fabrics are vintage linen table runners that had stains or tears and weren't being used. The heart is a valentine candy box. Large fabrics on the altar were from the UMW stash. So the visuals are recycled and reused. Thanks to Mavis and Jim Pyle who helped take down and setup the sanctuary.
Peace,
RevKelly
