I appreciate Pam and her friend who drove to Concord Tuesday for the screening of bad faith. The panelists afterwards were impressive. Some have been in the work for equality for decades and then there were two young people just beginning their efforts to do good. It was a beautiful community of faithful people encouraging one another in the work of building God's kingdom. Reminding us that this work is a marathon not a sprint.
[J: there's a photo of Pam in the social media folder]

When we feel overwhelmed we can renew our strength and soar like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). When we feel adrift our elders can tell of their dreams of equality and our young can offer their visions of justice (Joel 2:28). We can embrace the call to work for a better world and refuse to look away from the efforts to put one race, one nation, one language, one ethnicity over another. Let us not succumb to cynicism or complacency. Let us use righteous anger to motivate us to speak out. Give us courage to resist, knowing that together we can restore what others would want to suffocate.

The Crop Walk is coming up on November 3rd. Join the MSUMC Team and walk with us OR donate to our team.

On Thursday September 26, at 6pm there will be a virtual town hall for CROP Hunger Walkers & Donators here in the northeast to talk about the support CWS is providing both international and domestic.

Do you know how to use e-commerce to sell higher-end items?  We are looking for a volunteer who can help for the Holiday Fair in selling higher end items online.  Please contact Kathy Romano or the Office if you can help us out.

This Sunday, September 29, the Missions Committee and the Youth will be setting up cereal dominoes in the aisles at Main Street!  Can you contribute a box or two or a case?  The more boxes, the more fun! And the more cereal to fill the empty cereal shelves at the Nashua Soup Kitchen Food Pantry!

Thank you!

UMCOR Kits with Other Local UMC Churches

for District Youth Event!

We are collecting items for UMCOR cleaning kits, which aid those whose homes and lives are devastated by fires, floods, or other emergencies like the recent flooding in

Vermont. In collaboration with the other UMCs, our goal is to provide 100 buckets. Click Link Below to see a list of needed items on Signup Genius. There is also a link from the same page to Amazon to see the items and purchase them directly. Any item donations, bring them into the Church Office and we will coordinate getting them to Manchester for the District Youth Event!

Thank you!

A member of our Nurture team and friend of many here at MSUMC, Lynn Moseley, will be in the show.  Come down and enjoy a fun, family-friendly show with other Nashua locals.

If you would like to attend the Granite State Jubilee, please let the Office know, and we will register you.  office@mainstreet-umc.org or 603-882-3361.
