Bishop Schnase writes:
"We give because we are made in the image of God, whose essential nature is giving.
We are created with God's nature imprinted on our souls–hard-wired to be social, compassionate, connected, loving, and generous. God's extravagant generosity is part of our essential nature as well."

This is the underlying premise behind every church stewardship campaign and it's an important one. It sees our prayerfully-discerned, intentional pledge of support to the community of faith as a spiritual discipline.

We are grateful for the 30 individuals or families that have already participated in this spiritual practice. We realize that MSUMC members are often slow to return their pledge cards so we appreciate the leading of these 30 pledge units to make a commitment to generosity. That includes 4 new pledges we've received and the 26 increases in pledged giving. It includes youth members and new members. It includes commitments from those who are retired, those with steady jobs and those are unemployed or underemployed. We're grateful! We're getting closer to 40 pledgers we had last year and creeping toward the goal of 50 pledges.

If you haven't already given yourself the gift of discernment of how you will support MSUMC through a pledge in 2025, we invite you to do that this week. No matter the amount, your pledge matters. Help us reach our goal.

In gratitude,

Pastor Kelly

The Missions team is once again collecting "Birthday in a Bag" donations to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter this holiday season.  We are collecting new or gently used birthday bags, filled with what families can use for a birthday party (cake mix, frosting, candles, oil, table cloths, party favors, etc.).  We can help bring joy to families this holiday season with a birthday bag they can use while not having to worry about how they can afford to celebrate their loved one on that special day.

We are planning upcoming events for getting the church ready for the Nashua Holiday Stroll and the Christmas season.  All hands are needed to make sure this is a fun and safe set-up for all.  The trees are not heavy, but they are awkward and need a couple of people for each to make sure they are safe to carry.  Please plan ahead and join us for "Greening of the Church".

Saturday, November 23

8:30 AM Breakfast Meeting

St. Paul's UMC in Manchester, NH

Several other district churches are taking part in a District Men's group meeting this Saturday.  We know many of you plan on helping here at the church setting up Christmas Trees this Saturday (hopefully), but if you are unable to do so, please consider attending the district meeting.

Believe it or not, it's already time to think about ordering Poinsettias for the Christmas Holiday.  Order forms are due in the Office by Monday, December 2nd to ensure we can get what is needed.  Order forms are located in the Connector Lobby and the price is the same as last year.  Please contact Jodi in the Office if you have any questions.

Church office hours:

Mon - Weds - Thurs - Fri from 9:00 - 2:00

Closed on Tuesdays.
