Mainstreeter Weekly Blast November 7, 2024

New in this Issue:

  • Annual Fair this Saturday.  Come support your fellow members and start holiday shopping early!  Yummy baked goods, cookies, and Holly's Kitchen!

  • Holiday Stroll Volunteer Sign-up Begins - see link below

As we deal with the aftermath of the election, the Bishop's statement is linked below.

The General Board of Church and Society posted this prayer written by Rev. Allison Mark and Bishop Julius Trimble.  It is titled, "A Prayer for our Country after Election Day."

Spirit of the living God, guide us in the way of peace,
keep us on the path of justice, and the way of love for the whole of the human family.

We pray for those who weep today as our elections reveal winners and losers.

Our hope for a more inclusive and unified country remains our prayer, and that the Gospel and the church bring healing and help to those in most need.  Amen.

I'm off to an interfaith clergy gathering with Governor-elect Kelly Ayotte to discuss how we can work for the common good even if we don't have common ground.

Peace,

Rev. Kelly

We are planning upcoming events for getting the church ready for the Nashua Holiday Stroll and the Christmas season.  All hands are needed to make sure this is a fun and safe set-up for all.  The trees are not heavy, but they are awkward and need a couple of people for each to make sure they are safe to carry.  Please plan ahead and join us for "Greening of the Church".

IT'S HERE!  THE FALL FAIR IS THIS WEEKEND

COME SHOP, EAT AND SUPPORT US.
